Lead Paint Testing

Your Trusted Partner for Comprehensive Home Inspections

What is Lead Paint Testing?

Homes built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint, which can pose serious health risks—especially to children, pregnant women, and pets. Lead dust or chips from deteriorating paint can contaminate living spaces, causing long-term health issues. A professional Lead Paint Test identifies whether lead hazards exist in your home so you can take the right steps to protect your family.

Comprehensive Testing & Evaluation

Wood-Destroying Insects Don’t Wait—Neither Should You.

Our certified inspectors follow EPA and HUD guidelines to provide accurate and reliable lead paint testing. Depending on your needs, we may use:

  • X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Analyzers – Non-invasive technology that quickly identifies lead-based paint on different surfaces.
  • Paint Chip Sampling – Collecting small paint samples and sending them to an accredited laboratory for precise analysis.
  • Dust Wipe Sampling – Testing household dust, a common pathway for lead exposure in children.
  • Soil Testing (when applicable) – Identifying lead contamination around the foundation, play areas, and gardens.

We carefully examine both interior and exterior painted surfaces, including windows, trim, doors, stair railings, porches, and siding—areas most likely to produce lead dust or chips. Our goal is to provide you with a clear understanding of where lead hazards exist and how they may impact your home

Protecting Your Family’s Health

Stop Termites Before They Stop You.

Lead-based paint is often called the “silent hazard” because it may not show visible signs until it becomes a serious health concern. Even small amounts of lead exposure can:

  • Impair brain development and learning abilities in children.
  • Cause behavioral and attention issues.
  • Lead to high blood pressure, kidney damage, and nervous system problems in adults.
  • Put pregnant women and unborn children at higher risk of complications.

By identifying these hazards early, you can take the necessary corrective actions, such as professional remediation, encapsulation, or safe repainting practices. Our inspections don’t just identify the risks—we also provide recommendations and guidance on the safest path forward.

Every client receives a comprehensive, easy-to-read report, complete with photos, test results, and suggested next steps. This empowers homeowners, buyers, and property managers to make informed decisions and ensure a healthier, safer living environment
